Learn watercolor tricks at art league meeting
The Art League of the Smokies will meet at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, at the Swain County Center for the Arts. A DVD with Tom Lynch titled “Secrets of Painting on Watercolor Canvas” will be shown to exhibit various tips and techniques for working on watercolor canvas with any water media.
If use water with acrylic paint will it act more like watercolor?
Will it get that clearer look more like watercolor or will it just get messed up?
you can dilute acrylic paint to be as thin as watercolours, but it will not seep and blend the same, watercolor is made of pigments ground into block patties, acrylics have polymers and medium added to keep liquid and moist,
also for better effect on canvas you apply grounds for watercolor , to have same paper and water like feel,
suggest testing on watercolor or sketch paper for practicing techniques and results,

Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art.
