Learning to Paint
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to paint from home, but just expected that painting in a class with or with a tutor would be simpler? A lot of classes will be priced around 500 dollars a semester and leave you behind in a lesson if you aren’t careful. Tutors can add up to 2000 dollars a year when you are trying to get appropriate training. With costs like that, it would be a challenge for anyone trying to conserve money to get training for an honorable price. And not only that, you will find that you will have a hard time with learning at your own pace.
Then you come across a lot of programs that say they can teach you at home. All of them promise high success rates, more material than you will ever need, the works. Problem is that most of these programs aren’t what they promised. You end up frustrated and feeling like you are learning nothing about painting, they just promised good things in order to get you to buy it. You shouldn’t worry though, there are actually programs out there that work.
If you do find a program that you are considering purchasing, make sure that you read the reviews before. Learn & Master Painting by Gayle Levee, is a great program that I learned to love very quickly.
Included was about 20 lesson DVDs, music CD’s to listen during training, paint kit and lesson manual. The DVDs are very high quality video and audio, with multiple camera angles to make it easier to learn techniques. The teacher herself was great. She will not bore you, and her lessons are easy to comprehend and follow along. It makes learning simple.
If I were you I would really check out this program because it worked wonders for me. You should check out some of the other Learn and Master programs such as Learn & Master Ballroom Dance and Learn & Master Piano .

does anyone know of any free online wet on wet (means you paint nonstop) oil painting lessons? i would prefer written steps with pictures but videos are okay too but i would like to print it out so i could take it with me travelling

Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art.
