Name & Artist of an oil painting with a ton of paitings on a wall?
I saw a postcard of an oil painting that was of a wall that had a ton of paintings on a wall. It was an old painting like from the Renaissance period. I believe the wall in the background was black and it had many paintings on the wall that were framed. Can anyone tell me the name of the painting and the artist?
Well, I can think of a few possibilities:
Samuel Morse’s “Gallery of the Louvre”
Giovanni Paolo Panini’s “Modern Rome”
Antoine Watteau’s “Shopsign for Gersaint”

Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art. Being lowly mortals, we should never even try to understand art let alone try to create it. Give me a break! Click here For the rest of the story: Free Painting Lesson
