I’m 18 years old, I have a GED and it’s pretty much time for me to find something to get into college-wise. I was thinking about technical schools before but the only decent thing I’d like there is drafting, and I think that gets old. I haven’t taken any aptitude tests but I love music. Music theory, stuff like that.. but I don’t know what kinds of jobs people with an associates in fine arts music theory even get. I have an open mind though, I was even looking at physical therapist assistant. Any advice based on experience or anything would be appreciated, thanks.
I’m also a big aviation enthusiast if that makes a difference.
I worked with a guy who majored in music in college. He not only had a beautiful voice but he later got a job with a college conducting music & tutoring. He left that job because it paid so little although he is still involved with music.
Take an aptitude test. It might help guide you toward an area you haven’t even considered yet.
Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art.
