Mother’s Day ; Make This Day Special For Your Mother
Show your love towards your mother on this mother’s day….
Mother’s Day ,which is celebrated as the US holiday was created by Anna Jarvis in Grafton, as a day to honor mothers and motherhood , especially within the context of families and relationships. It is now celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, often in May, some of which have a much older tradition than the modern holiday.
Anna Jarvis, daughter of Anna Reeves Jarvis, who had moved from Grafton, to Philadelphia, in 1890, was theone who is power behind the official establishment of Mother’s Day.
>> swore at her mother’s gravesite in 1905 to dedicate her life to her mother’s project, and establish a Mother’s Day to honor mothers, living and dead
>> in 1907 she passed out 500 white carnations at her mother’s church, St. Andrew’s Methodist Episcopal Church in Grafton, West Virginia — one for each mother in the congregation .
>> May 10, 1908: St. Andrew’s in Grafton is the first church which responded to her request for a Sunday service honoring mothers.

About the Author
Renoir, the Old Master
Art history is a lot more fashionable and faddish than most people in the paintings business would like to admit. In 1956, the Museum of Modern Art acquired Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s spectacular 1902 Reclining Nude . In 1973, it went on display at the Art Institute of Chicago, which described it in a catalog as a “monumental nude … of power and full authority.” In 1989, MoMA sold Reclining Nude …
why is art so imbalanced?
if you are unheard of you stink if you make something that stinks. ringo starts painting he is an instant picasso. if any of you have seen the trojan war depiction in the philadelphia art museum’s modern section, that is what im talking about. yet, people who really try get nowhere with good stuff while famous people do stuff that is terrible and get really good reviews,
it’s all about who you know… how else would paris hilton have received a recording contract?
the truly talented might be recognized if someone with a real head on their shoulders discovers it and makes it known but frequently it doesn’t happen until the artist is already gone. being famous gets you instant buzz and everyone wants to check it out to see if it’s any good. heads firmly implanted in butts, they think it’s good because they don’t know any better, because all the know is what’s easy to find and in the mainstream.
if you are an artist, do not be discouraged, just keep touching individual lives as possible and enjoy your art for what you have created. do not let public recognition (or lack thereof) destroy your talent too early.
Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art. Being lowly mortals, we should never even try to understand art let alone try to create it. Give me a break! Click here For the rest of the story: Free Painting Lesson
