The Advantages of a Digital Light Projector
Are you looking for an image projecting solution for your home or business? Digital DLP projectors employ an image-screening method that is rapidly gaining popularity and is becoming renowned for its quality and reliability.
Looking to create the ultimate home entertainment system? Invest in a digital DLP projector to screen all your movies at home, in state-of-the-art surroundings.
Regularly give presentations, or running a business or organisation that requires the frequent use of high quality projection equipment for conference or training events? Digital DLP projectors are lightweight and operate at low noise levels and are currently placed at the very forefront of image projecting technology.
Digital DLP projectors use a relatively new image projection technique, known as Digital Light Processing (DLP) that has been in existence for about 20 years.
The new image projection technique was invented in 1987 by a technical specialist called Dr. Larry Hornbeck, who was then working for Texas Instruments.
DLP is another way of projecting digital images onto a screen and, since the invention of the technique in 1987, a great deal of work has gone into preparing the process for release into the commercial market, where it is now beginning to compete against other 21st century image display techniques, like LCD, plasma screens and high definition television.
DLP works by projecting an image through a complex matrix of a large number of tiny mirrors. The number of mirrors that your particular digital light projector contains will dictate the resolution quality of the image that is projected.
As DLP technology has improved, smaller, mass-market digital light projectors are becoming available for use in the office or home. These high-quality image projection devices make excellent additions to a home entertainment system and are handy tools for presentations and corporate screenings, as well as being a great additional piece of equipment for any educational establishment.
DLP technology works as both front and rear-projected, so digital light projectors are available as stand-alone units and also as box units that are fitted with a rear projector and include a screen within the box ‘ making it one handy image-screening unit.
The advantages of a digital light projector are manifold, with the best advantage considered to be its superior image projection quality, producing images on even the largest screens of a quality and clarity that has never been seen before.
Digital light projectors produce shake-free images and their light source is replaceable, which gives them a longer product life than other image screening options available on the market.
So, how can you benefit from this rapidly-advancing new technology and install a digital light projector in your home, office or educational establishment? The Nobo range of digital light projectors scores highly for image resolution quality and contrast and offers exceptional brightness. The Nobo range is easy to use, lightweight and portable and has been designed with entry-level operators in mind.

The Book of Eli (Blu-ray)
Highly Recommended The Film: Religion can be a dangerous thing. Not belief, mind you, which roots in a personal decision, but the actual institution that shapes what you believe, like a slab of clay on a spinning wheel. In the right hands, it can be rewarding and offer a sense of community; in others, it can be restricting, painful, and damaging. The Book of Eli , a gritty post-apocalyptic grind …
A long distance projector?
Hey everyone,
I asked a similar question a couple of days ago but I don’t think that I was at all clear of what I meant…
Right, I am looking for any kind of projector that can project long distances. Although this is quite far fetched the distance I have in mind is upwards of 200 meters… This can be 9mm, 16mm, 70mm, digital, whatever…
Money is not an option and therefore any new state of the art projector would suffice and/or old projectors with seriously strong light lenses?
If anyone has any information of any kind of projector that can project ridiculous distance I would e very thankful!
Cheers,
Chris
In case it helps… If you google-image ‘big ben projection’ there is a photo of a man projecting onto Big Ben from a very long distance. This reassures me that it must be possible…
For the record some of the highest-powered, high performance projectors can handle even longer throw distances.
You are looking at a high power, high resolution, large-venue digital video projector, the choice of which will depend on a combination of factors including: the projector’s rated—and more importantly real-world—light output, the projector’s optics, the desired size and illuminance of the projected image, the surface upon which the projected image will be displayed and the quantity of ambient light that is present. At the very minimum you will need to look for models that: (a) use no less than one or more lamps rated at 4.5 KW or higher and (b) can be equipped with a (zoom) lens having a throw ratio of at least 2.8:1 or greater. There are a handful of projector models, none of which are inexpensive, that meet or exceed these two criteria; please see the resources listed below. It is also worth noting that one can always choose to stack and/or blend* multiple video projectors if necessary in order to compensate for any limitations inherent in using a single projector.
With a sufficiently large aperture, which is best achieved using a 70mm format, and the proper projection lens, high power lamp and lamphousing and the requisite precautions to manage the intense heat (and UV) generated by extremely high power lamps, one could potentially achieve such throw distances with one or more film projectors. (Invariably a film projector would produce a projected image that is dimmer than that from its digital counterpart as described above.)

Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art. Being lowly mortals, we should never even try to understand art let alone try to create it. Give me a break! Click here For the rest of the story: Free Painting Lesson
