Everclear Sparkle and Fade Rock Music CD Review

Richly talented Everclear have released their latest CD titled Sparkle And Fade and Wow! It’s good.

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply isn’t a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it’s own.

Sparkle And Fade is a nicely varied, mix of 14 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly superb musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

If you’re a Everclear fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don’t even have to be a fan of lname, or even Rock to know is good. This is just good music. Period.

While this entire album is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 3 – You Make Me Fell Like A Whore, track 12 – Pale Green Stars, and track 14 – My Sexual Life.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Electra Made Me Blind. Good stuff!

Old reliables shine in Warped Tour heat
You know Warped Tour’s back in town when you pass a dozen or so vehicles on the freeway jam-packed with people, music blaring, most of the passengers sporting signature concert-going multi-colored hair. Some of them will have their necks twisted to…
is anyone else a fan of Everclear/Art Alexakis?

I especially like the songs “When It All Goes Wrong Again” and “Santa Monica”.
it’s “I will buy you a new life”, not a new house.

OMG those are my favorite songs!

Here's my opinion: artistic talent is largely learned. Most of the so-called experts will argue this statement, of course. They’ll proclaim that artistic oil painting techniques are only in the grasp of those rare individuals that are born with a mysteriously God-like ability to create art. Being lowly mortals, we should never even try to understand art let alone try to create it. Give me a break! Click here For the rest of the story: Free Painting Lesson
